We hope you enjoy our web-site. It is full of fascinating pages and pictures about life at St. John's and includes interesting events for the rest of the term!

Our school Council was started in 2003. It works by letting all the children make choices on how we want our school to be.

Our Council has a Chairperson, a Secretary and two representatives from each class.

~~~~~~~~~~~
The representatives are changed on an annual basis. The chosen reps. for 2009/10 are:
Rabbit Class
Fox Class
Badger Class
In February 2008 the reps. from Badger Class attended a SUPER SCHOOL COUNCIL MEETING in St. Mary's School, Shackleford to meet other School Council reps. They had to take along some questions to be discussed with other reps. at the Meeting!
Here theyare!
In June 2008 they met fr their final meeting this year and here is a picture of all the staff and children!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

In November 2008 Mrs Harper took the 2008 reps. on a coach all the way to County Hall in Kingston. They were on their way to a
SUPER SCHOOL COUNCIL MEETING!

They met other councillors from the Haslemere Team Schools and had a grand tour of the famous old council chambers and met some very important people, like the Mayor!

It was anti-bullying Week and each pupil gave a short presentation on how they felt the problem could be tackled. They did very well and Mrs Harper was very proud of them!

If you would like to see the images of their very special afternoon go to WHAT'S NEW and follow the dates down to November '08.

 As councillors we have a clipboard, a badge and our own note-pad to remind us what to discuss in 'Golden Time'.

We have made decisions about:

  •   how to make our school toilets more cheerful!
  • how to make our sand-pit more interesting!
  • what playground markings and equipment would we like
  • good ideas for the opening of the early Years Playground
  • what activity we would like at the end of term
  • what races would we like for Sport's day
  • what kind of visitors would we like to come into School
  • where we would like our School Council notice board to be!
  • what makes us feel 'special' in school
  • what Charity we would like to support
  • how to make our front entrance garden more friendly
  • how to raise money for our contact school in Uganda.

We also have a SUGGESTION BOX.

Please make a suggestion to help our school be EVEN BETTER. You can write your suggestion on our
