Please feel free to come along to any of the meetings. If you have any ideas for events everyone will be eager to hear them! If you would like to influence future plans or simply know what is going on you will be very welcome.

Any help which you are able to give in organising PTA events is very much appreciated.

The parent representatives (Chair, Vice-chair, Treasurer and Secretary) are elected at the AGM, which is usually held in October. Nominations for these posts are sought during the previous Summer term.

Speak to one of the existing members if you are interested in serving on the committee.

The PTA activities include organising social and fund raising events. The two major events of the year are the Christmas and Summer Fairs. Other events vary from year to year, but usually include produce stalls, quiz nights and sponsored events. The committee is open to new ideas for social and fund raising events and also for offers of help in bringing them to fruition! Back to top

FUND RAISING OVER THE YEARS

Funds raised by parents have been used to benefit many aspects of the School. In previous years these include staging equipment, spotlights for the hall; and a play cottage and outdoor play equipment in the playground. In July 2006 the PTA funded a new awning outside the Years One and Two classrooms which provided much more outside space and essential shade in the Summer months.

Others projects that have been funded by the PTA in past years include,new gym equipment, musical instruments, an interactive whiteboard, the outside awning stretching across Years One and Two, a digital camera, computers and software and annual theatre shows for the children at Christmas time. Curriculum special occasions like Book, Art and Science Weeks are also funded in part by the P.T.A. They also pay for a travelling pantomime company to come to School in December and a disco in March with a jolly magician. Back to top
